Not Enough "News From GenCon"

Zach's coverage from last year was awesome.

There is WotC specific stuff at you tube.

I found OboeCop's youtube coverage of GenCon.

Mini specific news at Table Top Gaming News, with photo's and video.

Ogre Cave has a bit and will probably have more.

This Just In from GenCon is a podcast from RPGnow.

I think some here have mentioned these places already and I think there are quite a few more. Some of the other blogs out there have good stuff.

I always wonder why GenCon's web site news and info about the con is so abysmal. I think the only news about gen con on the site is in the community section but there doesn't seem to be very much. I suggest a news blog at the very least. A podcast and/or a youtube feed would also be a good idea.

Note, I'm not knocking the running of the actual con. They do seem to do a bang up job with few actual employees. I also realize that they can expect others to cover gen con and might not have the finances or manpower to do it themselves. I just wish they could and would do a more comprehensive job of coverage. Maybe it hasn't crossed their minds to do so?

Edit: just thought, maybe a blog or web page aggregating the news of gen con from around the web? Is there something like that somewhere? Here on Enworld? GenCon guys, are you listening?

Second Edit: Also there is the thread at rpg.net.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised no info on the "4e" Goodman stuff actually.

I looked at the modules briefly, and they looked fine. I should have bought one or two, but never got back to the booth.

I did think it was "brave" that they had a few huge signs saying "Play 4e now" RIGHT across the way from the WOTC booth.

Yeah, a bit different from last year, when I was checking for news every half-hour to "Oh, yeah, Gencon was this weekend." :p

Anything on the Gygax memoriam?

Not sure if this is what you mean but I was in the Dealer Hall on Saturday during the minute of silence for Gary. It was weird as the normally very loud packed hall went silent for a minute. After that everyone let out a giant cheer and applause filled the hall.
