I'd suggest the OP take down the product as there certainly hasn't been 14 days pass since WotC received the Licensee's Statement of Acceptance.

Unless the OP has a separate agreement with WotC that allows them to produce 4e material before the 14 day minimum wait period set forth in section 1 of the GSL.

I am not a lawyer. I am not associated with WotC.

Excellent point, Joe.

Barring some form of postal time travel, it's true that my Statement of Acceptance hasn't been in WotC's hands for 14 days yet.

So, yes, this is a 'sooner' product. I'm essentially throwing myself upon the mercy of WotC here. I believe I've complied with every other requirement of the License, so I'm hoping for the best.

(P.S. -- I'm a big fan of Expeditious Retreat Press. Hope to see more of your products soon.)

Cheers,
Roger

Roger, I really suggest you take down the product and delete your post. Really. WotC has a vested interest in ensuring that people follow the license to the letter all the time, but especially at the beginning, and especially because it's a trademark issue.

Saying more so that you know you're in violation makes such response that much more imperative that they punish you.

For your business, and any chance to use the GSL in the future, comply with the license in all ways and in all times. What you've publicly admitted to doing is trademark infringement at the least.

I'm glad you enjoy our products and hope you respect my opinion enough to pull the product down and comply with the license because it is in your own benefit.

Free RPG day is on the 21st -- that's also below the 14 day window, so to be fair you ought to be warning Goodman games too.

I could be incorrect, but I believe Goodman's product does not use the GSL and is instead a non-system product aimed to introduce customers to his transition to 4e as the GSL was unavailable during its creation. You would have to ask Joe about that. If I am incorrect in this, I assume Goodman is functioning under a separate agreement with WotC in regards to Free RPG day because Goodman doesn't need my advice concerning his business: he's very good at what he does.

It looks like the OP pulled it down, which is good. Risking the whole license to be a few days early isn't worth it. WotC MUST protect their Trademarks and cannot show mercy when it comes to that issue if they wish to retain their most valuable property.
