Notebooks Which is Best?

I also don't need a insanely powerful rig for my games, I will be happy playing games from last-year on mid-graphics range.

The thing is that, if Dell's consumer lineup is any indication, the best graphics card you'll see on a reasonably portable laptop is the mobile version of the GeForce 8600 or its ATi counterpart (the Radeon HD 2600). Which is, if you're being very generous, a lower-midrange card in its desktop incarnation (and the mobile versions are lower clocked); gaming sites strongly recommend spending the extra money for a Radeon 3850/3870 or a GeForce 8800GT in a desktop, but they use too much power for anything that's truly portable.

If you use the laptop for gaming, definitely look out for one with dedicated gfx RAM.

Often laptops only share the system RAM for CPU and GPU activity.

The setup you had linked above looks fine on that behalf, so you probably know to watch out for that already.
