Notes on the Aether (Rae judging)

OOC: Yes, let's blame Halina. However, I think Keldar perceives the geometry entirely differently!
What are we going to do about the lack of a cleric? A pity Solnath didn't explicitly give permission to NPC Sammy. Can we do that? Or do we have to have her come to her senses and decide a tower full of angry monsters isn't the best place for a blind girl... and escort her back to the RDI, and recruit a replacement (leaving poor Thyrin stuck in his safe room for another 2 days)? I think with Galwynn as the sole source of healing, we'd be unlikely to survive the tower.

OOC: I think going back to the RDI would be advisable just to get a new healer. I can NPC her anyway, but she is a tremendous liability to have for a main healer. Even more so since a normal cleric can keep the wizard safe and she can't.

OOC: are you aware, ES, that one of the two available 1st level clerics waiting in the RDI, Eadhild, just happens to be a cleric of Ayratha, with the ability to rebuke fire elementals?

OOC: Hey, Galwynn could *totally* heal the whole party! I mean, 6 HP is a LOT.

:)

We could always "find" some healing potions or something. Although, I like the idea of picking up another player. Getting there might be fun, since it's a horse ride away.

I also like the dwarven cleric/weapon smith. He'd be fun to add to the group (and give us someone who's not a human!)

OOC: Wik just made me check Tarag's sheet, and he has the Fire domain too. Wellll... looks like Keldar is going to have to conduct a job interview to decide between these two. :p

OOC: So, er, something like this? IC:

As Keldar heads past Sammy on his way to the door, the blind young woman unerringly places a hand on his arm. For a moment, Keldar seems to think he's about to receive another kiss for good luck. Instead she speaks softly and urgently to him, and as he listens he rubs a hand through his hair agitatedly. "No," he says, "I understand.... I make most of my decisions from the gut, so to speak. Would you prefer I told the others?" Given only the briefest of nods, Keldar draws the other three into a huddle. "Samina has had a sudden change of heart," he says. "She cannot shake a feeling that entering the tower will be her doom." He looks at Rapture. "It's not impossible that some of us have felt something similar?" he says, obliquely reminding her of his hesitant words before the others woke. "She wants to return to Orussus. I think we should go with her, and find another healer at the Red Dragon, if we can. It will mean another two days trapped for poor Thyrin. I hope his safe room is well stocked with provisions. Cassandra, a change of plan!" He fills in the lightning elemental. "It can't be helped. We will be back as soon as we can."

"If m'lady thinks it's all right," Rapture says to Cassandra

"Are you sure this is what you want m'lady?" she asks Sammy. "Keldar or one of the others didn't touch you did they?"
