Notes on the Aether (Rae judging)

Keldar chimes in. "Treat a horse like a woman, and a woman like a... er.... That's a saying I heard somewhere once. Complete nonsense, obviously."

Tommy looks at Keldar and Rapture, considering their advice, and its subtext. "Should I sing to it, then, Keldar?" he says with a smile.

[sblock=ooc]Are we there yet? I feel like this is slowing down a bit. Could use for something to happen.[/sblock]

"Certainly," says Keldar. "I trust that song can gentle the wildest of hearts. It is worth trying, anyway. I expect to hear your finest composition before we reach the Inn!"[sblock=OOC] yup; let's move on[/sblock]

"Well, my friend," says Keldar after a time, "if you have not yet completed your song, then I shall go first." And, he does.

Several hours later, Keldar waits in the Red Dragon square, resigned to another few hours of walking this day. "We were attacked by an enormous weasel on our outward journey, Tarag," he says.

"Nasty," says the dwarf.

After a moment he adds, "I hear that once they grab hold, they don't let go."

His hand strays to the morningstar at his side, and he looks thoughtful.

"Yes, it was fairly unpleasant. Fortunately it was unable to get a firm grip on any of us, and Rapture's sword work quickly drove it off."

ooc: I'm ready to move on to the tower, if you guys are, and if our beloved DM doesn't have any surprises for us on the way back. :)

"There were several ignorant ruffians in the Dragon just now," says Keldar, "who came close to impugning Rapture's good name. If we did not have to reach Grenton before Galwynn grows bored and does something foolish...."
