Well lately I've been watching the old Doctor Who serials. So here are some short impressions on them:
First Doctor (William Hartnell)
The Mutants - A bit long in places, but genuinely eerie and exciting. Great intro to the Daleks.
Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee)
Day of the Daleks - Pretty good. Though the special effects may be dated (in fact they're downright cheesy

), I found this story fast paced and thrilling. The Third Doctor's pretty cool, while Jo Grant is hot.
Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
Genesis of the Daleks - One word: BOOORRRIINNNGGG. An absolute slog to have to sit through, with some really cheesy dialogue thrown in. Could have been better, especially since it's the Dalek's origin.
Also on the Who front, I just watched the first three episodes of
Torchwood. As I said before in previous threads, the first two weren't much, but the third episode was very well done, and gives me some renewed hope for the series.
On the anime front, I just finished
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. After watching all 14 episodes, I must state out that this is one of the best anime I've seen. Very original, edgy and quite fun. I just hope they make a new series in the future.
Also finished
Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. They ended this real nicely without really resolving anything, leaving room for more FMP in the future, which I'll look forward to with baited breath.
