[November] What are you watching?

I enjoyed watching Cloud Atlas though I recognize that those who were familiar with the stories before viewing have some issues with how it was directed. On the small screen front, this week's Castle was one of the best I have seen in a while, and I generally like the show anyway.

Just finished re-watching "Space: Above and Beyond". As I remembered, it started weakly but about halfway through became very strong indeed. Next up will be the two series of "Rome", which I hope to get through before the end of the year.

I still have several blu-rays that I got for my birthday (in June) to watch - three "Alien" movies, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", and the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

On TV, I'm watching the fifth series of "Merlin" (which is so-so), the second season of "Homeland" (probably won't watch a third season), and repeats of several comedies.

Little one at home and buried at work means its hard to see anything and Castle is the only one I make sure and get too. Missed it this past Monday though and so literally just finished watching the stream of it from the network's site.

Criminal Minds, Walking Dead, Copper, American Horror Story, 120 Minutes with Matt Pinfield and Last Resort lead my DVR list for stuff that is currently airing. Grimm, Once Upon A Time, Haven, Alphas & Warehouse 13 are in the list, too, as are re-runs of Top Gear.

I'm still watching Revolution, but I'm not sure for how long.

I am looking forward to the return of Burn Notice, Psych, Venture Brothers, Falling Skies, Archer, The Fades, Lost Girl, and Todd & The Book of Pure Evil, and a few other shows.

Not the kind of show that usually gets watched around these parts but a good friend basically tied me down and had me watch Gilmore Girls which reluctantly I'll admit is pretty good. It has very good writing and excellent characters. Of course I now want to base a Call of Cthulhu session in Stars Hollow.

I watched Looper yesterday. It was great. Probably the best SciFi movie I've seen in some time. It was certainly better than Prometheus, which took itself far too seriously and, in the immortal words of Peter Griffin, "It insists upon itself."
