Don't sell yourself short sweety - I turn 37 this August, my son turns 18 on Wednesday... Yep, I are smart, just not real bright. :)

Lorgrom, the thing to remember is, eventually they will mature. Yes, for the next two years there are endless Sponge Bob and fart jokes, but after that, the grow into real jokes and quoting Monty Python at the table, then everything's fine. ;)

Hmm ... assuming one likes M. Python jokes! :p

Seriously though, you are quite right Thunderfoot.

Hehe. I like sex jokes. Actually, I think they've occurred less often recently for some reason. Wonder why that is.

We've done various sex jokes revolving around one guy's cleric and his drow wife..... usually involving cat-o-nine-tails and various other "implements".....

my current group (ages 22, 24, 32, 34 and myself at 37) have their moments.

Today we gamed and there a moment of what to do to raise money, what to do with an evil priest's symbol and something about dragon sex that I missed most of while I was feeding the kids.

There's the solution right there!!! Sell tix for people to watch dragon sex that's endorsed by the church of that evil priest. They suffer the backlash and you guys make off with the loot!

Pretty sure I wouldn't like playing with kids that young (unless they were my own, and no I am not old enough for that yet lol) At the most recent WOTC gameday, there was a kid that was maybe 10 at the table and it was fun for a one shot, but I don't think I could tolerate her permanently. There isn't a person at our table below 30 (not since I hit the big 3-0 this month that is).
You'd be suprised.

I was playing with my dad's group (no one under 30 but me) when I was 10, and was able to RP and play well enough on my own (I knew the rules better than they did sometimes).

At 15, I was running con tournoment events for this group at Gen Con, AND was the head scorekeeper.

At 23, there were some 7, 11, and 14 year olds at my table (The GM's kids). When they were on, they were pretty good. Unfortunately, they were a little too flighty and did slow the game down a bit, BUT the GM was pretty tolerant of their absense, so it wasn't a big issue.

Some of the guys I play with now were regulars in groups I was in at times when they were 16-18. They've grown up a bit more, but a sharp, interested teenager is often a better gamer to play with than a casual, less than enthusiastic 30-40 year old.

The big issue is competence (Not nessessarily rules knowledge, but ability to catch on to the rules quickly and understand basic math), enthusiasum (Interest in the game and character) and maturity (something many adults still lack) more than anything.

Then again, I've been told repeatedly that I was one of the most mature teenagers most adults had ever met. If they only knew me now ;)
