Now that Complete Warrior is out...

Most of it. I still think 3.5 qualifies as a 'minor debacle' for WotC, and my lack of purchasing the core rulebooks so far is based entirely on my disagreement with the Decency Clause.

Still, there's so many niggling details they've changed...I won't be integrating wholesale, but most of it I'm adopting because it really is quicker, easier, more balanced, and more interesting.

And besides, there's no real books I want that are coming out before February....do you know how LONG that is without new d20/D&D material!? ARGH! I don't think I can wait! :)

I switched as soon as 3.5 came out.

I like the Complete Warrior, but if I hadn't been planning on switching, it wouldn't have influenced me to do so.

I felt it required an in-game event to justify the change (since it really did alter the nature of things in a lot of ways), but an evil villain almost destroying the device that powers the world did the trick nicely.

No. The Complete Warrior would have no bearing on me switching to 3.5. Even less so for my players (who do not appreciate re-buying regurgitated material).

I only use 3.5 for Living Greyhawk. Until LG uses Complete Warrior, I won't bother with it. Out home game will continue with 3.0 as there is more than enough stuff out there for it and:
A) Nobody wants to burn money on new books which have mostly the same rules
B) The changes are not viewed favorably by those who have looked into them.

buzzard

i'm breaking out my OD&D (1974) collection and starting a new campaign. :D
