Now that the cat's away...

When playing Star Wars, I give stormtroopers -1 to hit per person. One stormtrooper is deadly; 20 is.. err.. less so.

Liam, I love that photo!

I seem to remember that original WEG version started with a rule to that effect - but can't remember how it worked on d6s

I believe the original was that they got more effective as their numbers increased, not less. My recollection (which may be incorrect), though, is that with the bunch of them they'd get one effective hit, and the rest were a mass of blaster bolts for the SFX crew.

Reminds me of "Many on One" in Torg... Which is also from WEG, IIRC.

Huh. I was going to point out that Mickey and Minnie used lots of guns in their encounters with Pete. But that really takes the cake.
I was originally going to post a one of those old WWII Disney cartoons, but then I thought maybe that series would be better. :]
At that range.. ;)

Unless we're talking about the Stormtroopers from the very beginning of Star Wars. The ones invading Leia's ship. Those guys were good. What ever happened to them? Shouldn't Vader have kept them always at his side?
They were garrisoned on Death Star I. Then the ones form ESB were given faulty orders to " guard the emperor's croissant" because some imperial desk clerk misheard the command to "Guard the emperor as he leaves Coruscant".

Does that mean that Stormtroopers are ninjas?
