NPC book please!!!

I was wondering if a book concerning NPC's like Elminster from the FR setting or Raistlin from the DL setting excists! A book where one could flip open the pages and read about these notorious characters, characters from the rich background of D&D (novels), see their stats, read about their backgrounds. I know that NPC's are listet randomly in many of the books, but it would be nice to have a book full of them, a little like the Deitys and Demigods book.
If a book like this do not ecxcist, mayby some of you guys could make one. I would buy it for sure!!!

In September, Fiery Dragon is releasing the "Character Collection" -- sort of a fully-stated version of a counter pack. While it won't have Elminster or Raistlin per se, there will be a lot of cool and interesting allies and foes of all levels to throw at your gaming group.

Also, Bastion Press has VILLAINS, a collection of colorful NPC bad guys to use... A very entertaining read, even though I haven't had a chance to use any of them yet.

There's also the Netbook of NPCs (see my sig). To my shame, I haven't had the time to do much work on it recently though.
