NPC Help - Fallen Paladin now Evil

ok whats the quickest way to get to Anti Paladin or Blackguard. This guy is 10th level, hes evil (beleives a little boy was the cause of all his pain and loss) and has turned his back on his faith.

Suggestions?

Find an evil 7th level cleric willing to cast Lesser Planar Ally, I guess.

By the letter of the prerequisite, casting Summon Monster I and calling a Fiendish Dire Rat would count. But I wouldn't really let anything than a LPA qualify... I think it should probably be a calling rather than a summoning.

Oh.

Well, there are two things to bear in mind.

If you want the highest possible blackguard level by level 10, then you want to be a Pal6/Blk4.

But if you want the best Fallen Paladin bonuses, then you want to be a Pal9/Blk1.

Or, you could stick it out with Paladin for one more level, then fall, and pick up Blackguard at 12th. You can trade in Paladin levels for Blackguard levels, in that case.

Do you have a DMG?

Okay. Well, I would recommend taking two ranks of Knowledge (Religion), five ranks in Hide (a level in Cleric with the Trickery domain? Cosmopolitan feat? level in Rogue, Range, or Barbarian? all cross-class?), and the Cleave and Sunder Feats.

As long as your BAB is +6 or better, you'll be set.
