It's a great thing, then, that this is a historical film. As we've all found out about the world we live in, nobody ever learns from history. So we should be pretty safe.

This is a film that I simultaneously look forward to and dread. It's gonna be a heavy one - it basically has to be.

This will be a tough film to discuss openly and frankly here on these forums. Due to certain things happening in the world and how one could see their direct relation to some of the things this film discusses, the political aspects seem like they would preclude certain areas of talk which would be pertinent to how impactful this film could be in our present day.

The fact that a film about trying Nazis for war crimes has become a political land mine is a real indictment of certain things happening in the world.

The great thing about science fiction and fantasy is it allows for plausible deniability when it comes to to current topics

It’s also a good excuse for those who should be paying attention to ignore it. “It’s just fantasy, it has nothing to do with the real world!”

On the other hand wealthy American industrialist Henry Ford said “history is more or less bunk”, so it’s probably fair to say that lessons from real world history will also be ignored.
