I've been thinking about the possibilities of an EN World persistent world for NWN. The options that have occured to be are as follows:
1) Make an arrangement with an existing persistent world. Layonara Online has expressed an interest in this idea.
2) Host a pre-written module - something like Path of Ascension, which is allowed to be used and/or modified and seems like the right sort of thing.
3) Come up with an EN World module of my own. Not sure how good I'd be at that, though.
4) I am vaguely aware of something called the "EN World Guild" which existed for a while. What was that - a module? Does anyone have the files?
Option 1 is the easiest, as options 2, 3 and 4 mean that permanent hosting needs to come from somewhere. That option means much less control of the world from my end of things, though.
Would anyone be interested in such a thing? Personally, I'd love to play NWN online and run into EN Worlders. It would be great to stick a password on the server, so that we know that everyone we meet is an EN Worlder and not some random l33t d00d intent on ruining every else's fun.
