Recall Stone - Seviss Isles

This mod looks really great. And in the little time I've played, the Recall Stone has been immensely helpful.

So far, a big thumbs up.

Note - there will be another trial run of the new world today from 12am - 2am my time (that's 2 hours from the time of this post).

The usual PoA module will be unavailable for that time, and the new world will be in its place. Server name is the same (0 EN World); module name is "Seviss Isles".

Yeah it sounds fun and all.. I am kinda tired of the capture the flag type games though.

My main concern is that I have spent much time (hours and hours) on the characters ive made alerady and dont want to lose them. Ive had this sort of thing happen in table top D&D in the past. Make charatcters, realy start to gt into them, then the DM decides to start a whole new campaign that requires you to start from scratch. Sure the implication was always there that you could run them another time... but we never did.

If we could move the characters we already have to a new mod then im all for it. I know im probably in the minority here, but I felt I had to say this anyway. There are still lots of places I have yet to conquer in our current mod. And there are places in it have havent even seen.

I saw this post late last night, but since I havent been able to play, I didnt want to be the first to respond. However..

I vote the change.. Il'l def be checking out the test run this afternoon my time.
 

It's not a Capture the Flag game, Chaz. There's one tiny area in the whole world with a CTF mini-game in it for people who want to try it.

Before you cast your vote, though, I'd encourage you to at least take a look at the world (there's a trial for a couple of hours starting in about 1 hour). It is by no means decided yet -- I'm getting opinions.

I understand the concern about losing the characters you have. That's probably the main thing that people will object to, for good reason.
 

Well, if I can custom make my own stuff, and there are proven possibilities for character afflicition/race changes, I'm sold. Does this mean that we could possibly create custom races? I've heard of this being done, as post-character creation character tweaking. If it IS, then I could actually build Angcuru the way he really is as a being. Long story, Elendiel and Bognar know a bit of it, but it's an integral part of the character.

I'll take a look at the documentation as soon as I finish the pile of schoolwork I have to do, but if everyone else is impresses with it, I'll trust it.

You sure should. The Shadows of Undrentide is much, much better as a campaign than the original campaign. Hordes of the Underdark adds lots of crunchy goodies, but I haven't played through it, yet....mostly due to technical issues that have been plaguing Valanthe's PC. (cursed mysterious crashes in NWN!)

I can't play Act II of HotU because it won't even load any more...I have no idea why, but its alright. I've d'loaded lots of great modules and there's some fun online stuff. :)
 

Ok, I've just read through the text file and I WANT THIS RIGHT NOW!!! :D

Consistent updates to item creation mean that once updated, a character may make ANY, ANY item they can IMAGINE!! :D As if the item creation toolset were available in-game....almost. Just what I wanted.... :D

So 'russ, when do you put it up full-time?
