[NWN] Enhancement Bonus bugged?

Thanee

First Post
Is it just me, or does the Enhancement Bonus on a weapon not add anything to damage (altho it says so in the character sheet)?

Does anyone know, whether a simple Attack Bonus is enough to pierce Damage Reduction, or is this something where you need an Enhancement Bonus for?

I'm not really sure Thanee. I'll pay more attention when I play tonight.
On first thought, I think it really has to say Enhancement Bonus (EB) in order to be effective against Damage Reduction (DR).

I do think EB does add to damage, though. I'll check that out tonight as well. (I have a new +4 crossbow, so minimum damage should be 5 all the time.)

Actually, I don't believe the enhancement bonus adds to damage for missile weapons in the game. I do think it adds to damage for melee.

But you could always do what I do: cast flaming weapon. :D

Henry, can you actually cast flaming weapon on a missile weapon?

Much as I want to, no. :) That's why you've seen Henryk and his little brassy halfling butt wading into melee combat lately equipped with a woodcutting axe. Even with hitting less often (a problem solved by empowered bull's strength), he doesn't need any special weapons, he saves tons of money on enchanted crossbow bolts, and it's a renewable magic that he can use.

Now, Henryk has just crafted a Mahogany compound shortbow, with some excellent properties, so we'll just have to see where he goes from here...
