Just read on the offical Neverwinter Nights site that Hordes of the Underdark has gone gold. Should be in stores by December 2. :D

Loved the first game and a lot of user made mods.. the last expansion wasnt fun to me though. i couldnt even get through it once before losing interest. I give up on all games now. No more fun for Chaz.

I got the Bioware Community Newsletter a few hours ago, and I've already got money set aside to buy Hordes of the Underdark when it comes out.

I can't wait to face Beholders and Mind Flayers. :D

I just hope the graphics are better. The original game really turned me off with its (relatively) clunky graphics and animations. Since then Bioware has done Knights of the Old Republic (which had stunning graphics and very impressive fight animation) with the NWN engine, so maybe there's some hope for Hordes of the Underdark...

Bioware has said that the poly counts are up for this one, and they've slightly upped the minimum recommended specs.

Chaz: have you tried multiplayer with a DM? Solo, I admit that NWN gets to be dull (I haven't finished any of the "official" campaigns, and have played maybe 1-2 community mods solo), but multiplayer's where this game truly shines. I recommend scheduled games at www.neverwinterconnections.com.

I'm really only into the expansion for the new models and tilesets for the toolset, and the new scripting functions that look to give a lot of new possibilities for the builder. Plus I'm sure my players will enjoy the new prestige classes, spells, and feats. I'm already working on my first "epic" module, leaving blank spaces to fill in once I get the expansion...

I was hoping for more than just upped poly counts. Bioware really did some great things with lighting effects and use of pixel shaders in KotOR... I'd love to see some of these in a D&D setting!
