The game is currently in beta testing.

Bioware still refuses to commit to a release date, but I do not believe that the game has gone "gold" yet. It typically takes two weeks after the gold master copy is produced for the game to appear in stores. Plus, as BG noted, the beta just begun... although I think that the beta is just for bug checks, and that the gameplay is pretty much set at this point.

Bioware has a great rep and this seems like a very difficult game to anticipate all the bugs that one would encounter. I bet it will be late July if it is not gold yet Thanks

EBWorld reported that it went Gold. This is not true, but response from BioWare makes one think that NeverWinter Wednesday might have a big announcement...

I think EB might've let the cat out the bag. Kinda like WotC when they created (and quickly took back down) a 3rd Edition newsgroup 4 days before they announced the game at GenCon 99.

Well according to this Bioware says June 2002. The Aurora Toolset cd you get for preordering has a little piece of paper that gives a url and a password for a free adventure to download, which just happens to become available June 18th. Also EB had display boxes for the game the last tiem I was there.
