We have a druid in our party and he is not seeing the benefit or potential penalties for casting obsucuring mist on our party at certian times. Any druids have the insigt on the pros and possible cons of casting it?? Thanks!!

It's good to protect yourself from ranged attacks. Stealthy characters could use it to get from full cover to full cover.

Still, I wonder. Why has your fellow player chosen that particular power, even though he or she doesn't see what it's good for?

the druid hasnt taken it but was wondering what it would be useful for if he decided to retrain for it at next level. i couldnt tell him anything beyond "it may help you escape something or our party. If he cast it on our party to help take cover from ranged attacks, wouldnt that effect our attacks coming out of it due to the mist partially blocking our vision? Thanks for the reply.

It's just a signature Druid power.

Imagine these gnolls guarding the entrance to the temple of Yeenoghu. A thick mist starts to form near them, quickly expanding until it swallows them. Suddenly you hear metal slashing throw flesh and leather. Next thing the mist vanishes and you see a group of warriors where the gnolls were, their weapons dripping blood, and a Druid coming out of the woods.

Anyway, i like it, it's cool. Maybe it's not that powerful, but it's not much worse than the other 2nd level utilities.
