Occupy Renton!!!

Demand One: The difference between the cost of a 1st-level magic item and a 30th-level magic item is 3,124,640 gold pieces! That's a disparity of 8,681 to 1! I demand a fair living magic item parcel! A minimum of one 20th-level item per character in each parcel!

Demand Two: The leader classes control access to our healing surges! I demand WotC intervene and establish a universal single-healer hit point recovery system!

Demand Three: I want open campaign options! WotC should make an official rule that requires DMs to allow me to play any character in any campaign I want! I found someone's fan-made "rules" for ninjas and I should be allowed to play it! If I purchase the Orcus mini, I should be able to play as Orcus in Keep on the Shadowfell!

Demand Four: De-install the DM as the arbiter of the challenges my party faces! Why should 17% of the player population get to decide what monsters we fight and what treasure we gain? We ARE the 83% and we WILL take control of our own games!

We need some good protest signs for this Occupation,

"The Illuminati/[insert racial group]/[insert religion]/[insert civic organization] controls gaming!"

"Just because they eat souls, fiends don't deserve to be banished."

"Bring back non-evil unintelligent undead. Don't pander to the paladins and their smite evil ability!"

You occupiers make me laugh. Look at you and your petty little bickering about dividing gold equally among party members, desiring level based +item upgrades, keeping track of healing surges, and your tallying hit points. Your need to step away from the table, wake up your group member who been sleeping during most of your 40 minute combat rounds and realize that your game is broken.

I have long since moved past those concerns and adopted a much superior tactical minitures game, CHESS. The game is easier to set up, does not require multiple rulebooks to run and contains combat rounds that effectively last only seconds. So quit your belly aching and get playing already.already

If prefer 3.5 to 4e (and I do), should I:

Occupy Renton! to protest WOTC, because I like their product less?

-OR-

Occupy Bellevue! to protest Paizo, to show them I care?

Just as long as you don't Occupy Lake Geneva, it'll all be OK.

We need some good protest signs for this Occupation, how about:

"I am demonstrating my Chaotic Good alignment!"

or

"Wake up and roll Sense Motive again, we are being Bluffed!"

or

"Equal rights for all demihumans: Half Elf = all person!"
The D&D game at PAX talked about fey marriage. Maybe those guys saw this coming.

I think what we really need is to bring back 3e crit ranges. The Nat-20s have all the excitement in 4e, but when I was growing up criticals could often occur on a 15+.
