I love the "Magic system" of carcosa and I´m thinking about creating more rituals, which have nothing to do with summonings.
They should simulate the capabilities of the some original D&D spells, but act bizarre and strange. My first attempt is the "Fly" Spell
Wings of the endless void
The sorcerer must acquire a pair of membranous wings of the Mi-Go, which have to be burned within a bowl of obsidian. The rising smoke has to be inhaled by the sorcerer, while he chants for two hours. When the sorcerer is in an apathetic state, two assistants have to sew his body in the skin of three yellow men and inscribe it with the glyphes of the endless void. After a full day of catatonic state, the sorcerer will leave his cocoon and unfold his new batlike wings.
