Oddest research question - the price of sand.

Turns out Saudi Arabia actually imports sand....

... mind you, it's high-grade stuff to make silicon chips out of, but anyhow.

But the price is going to vary by state/country, how refined the sand is/particle size, etc.

A ton of green sand is probably going to be expensive. And yeah, there's literally GREEN sand in the world.
 


Keep in mind that modern sand prices would have nothing to do with historic ones due to the cost of transportation. Look around the internet and you should find what the Romans paid for the sand used in the colliseum. It was imported from Africa.
