Of Sound Mind and Expanded Psionics Handbook

Thanks for all the kind words.

Hey, you're going to make me convert it just to prove to you it's not a big change, aren't you? :)

Sorry, PC--

It's time for you to admit it. The reason you haven't done it yet is because it's too much of a challenge. :D You're just going to have to accept that somethings are beyond your abilities . . . .

(sits back and waits for the updated conversion notes).

Welcome to the boards! Okay, you've been here since MArch, but two posts qualifies for a greeting. I wrote OSM, and I think that conversion should be a snap. A few fast thoughts:

- You'll have to run the first combat encounter (the farm-related one) as is, because the XPH template for such creatures takes away a bit of the fun.

- Rules for augmententation actually make it easier to explain what's happening in the town.

I don't believe that Fiery Dragon is planning to convert it themselves, although they might do so on a pdf. I'm hoping to have time to write up conversion notes myself. If I do, I'll post them here.

Hey PC, if you get them done, please throw them my was as well -- I'd love to have them available on the FDP site also.

I love the Of Sound Mind trilogy, and feel sorry for the people that weren't quick enough to grab parts 2 and 3 at their local gaming store!*

* just kidding!

I think the fact that it is a low level adventure will make it much easier to change over to XPH than might be expected. Basically the *spoiler* which wants to *spoiler* would have some of its mechanisms changed slightly, and possibly the *spoiler* too. the XPH has some much more effective powers available now than was originally available so upgrading some of the bad guys is certainly an option although you'll probably find everything plenty challenging without it.

Cheers

While all of you wait for Pirate Cat's conversion notes, I have an adventure with psionic monsters and psionic foes coming down the the pipeline. This one will be cool. :)
