Of Sound Mind questions

I'm contemplating running Of Sound Mind starting this weekend, but I have a few questions first before I run off and buy it:

1) Would it be easy to use it with the modifications from ITCK?

2) Does it rely at all on psionic combat? (I have completely removed it from the game)

3) Does it assume either way whether psionics is the same as magic? (I do them as the same, and wanted to know if I'm going to have to do any extra work to account for this).

Thanks in advance.

Cool - thanks for running it!

1. It would be simple to use with the ITCK adjustments. The psionic bad guys will be fairly easy to adjust; it may take you five minutes, tops.

2. No need for psionic combat. I tend to agree with you, and as a result wrote it expecting that powers would be used instead of attack or defense modes.

3. I balanced it under the assumption that magics and psionics work the same way.

Remember, Don, it's turned out to be a bit deadly for first level play. You may want to adjust things accordingly. :D

Only halfway expected to get a reply from the author, especially that quickly :)

Thanks PC

Running it with characters that are 2nd level npc classes/2nd level pc classes, so they should do fine.

Again, appreciate the help. I'll be picking it up tomorrow.

I've done this... I was in the middle of upgrading the goblin characters to a higher level anyways.

Incidentally, PC, was the goblin psion intended to be a telepath instead of a seer? His skills look like a telepath's.

There are some good suggestions/GM tips for setting the mood. Do not only use them, but brainstorm some of your own. I have played it and ran it.

I ran a stripped down version of the adventure at GenCon. It was a blast.
