Official ENWorld Share the Love thread (updated)

Shucks, I manually entered all the addresses from list A, but they didn't appear in that text box when I bought some books yesterday.

No, you just paste 'em in that text box (and fix the ## and !!) and it should be fine.

Hm... I just realized (when I went to take the World's Largest Dungeon people out of my lists, which is easier to just delete the whole list and start fresh) that I had almost 90 people in my "Amazon Friends" list. So.... Every so often, send something to the list you're on, and the people will be automatically added. It doesn't mean you shouldn't keep sending to your list, though, because new people get added all the time... But this definitely spreads our reach a bit...

Hey all - I just recieved the latest (revamped) Dragon Mag - and in honor of the new addition and the 16 page buyers guide I have decided to create a Share the Love service. Basically, people can start a list for a specific product or product category (ie. Fantasy, SciFi, CD's, ENWorld). Other people can then add themselves to the list. Anyone who is purchasing an item can check the lists and hit a button, and he'll get a list of emails to copy and paste into Amazon share the love.

More features as I think of them.

Would this be worthwhile do you think?

This would be extremely worthwhile (to me, anyway)!

It seems like it'd be a lot more work.. because unless you manually delete your amazon friends every time, eventually everyone will start getting everything. The current list has all kinds of stuff ranging from d20 books, non-d20, DVDs, comics, etc.

I'm a little confused. When someone enters a bunch of addresses in Share the Love does it automatically add them to your friends list? Furthemore, do you automatically send a share the love notice to all of your friends? That would be the only problem I could see.

Sorta. You can choose to NOT send it to all of your Amazon Friends by not checking the box under the list of e-mail addresses.

Ok, so this wouldn't be a problem then. If you want to buy something, just hit the button and copy the addresses into the Share the Love field(s).
