Wow. I can't believe I missed that when I read through the animal companion stuff. So basically animals get 2 (+ Int Modifier) Skill Points per additional HD and have 1 feat + 1 per 3 HD.Len said:

So take the wolf (for example). It starts out as a 2HD creature and it has 2 feats already. When you add 2 HD (Druid level 3-5) you add 4 skill points. It also gains it's third feat at 6HD (Druid level 6-8) and fourth feat at 9 HD (or when it becomes 10 HD at druid level 12-14)
Does that sound right?
