The oft-repeated phrases of my group:

"I have a plan"
"Is it, by any chance, a cunning plan?"
"Yes. Yes it is. I have a cunning plan."

I taught my 4 yr old to say this. It's hilarious, especially with folks that haven't heard him bust it out before.

"He/she can be {insert player/character name here} the Red"
Slang for when a player may or may not show up, or be late to a game, so their character is theoretically with the party but not really there until the player shows up. A reference to Dead Gentleman Productions brilliant movie "The Gamers". "Mark the Red", is the Berzerker character of a player who couldn't make it to the game, and as such is always shown, when they remember that he's there, as standing off to the side looking blankly into the distance. He takes no actions and nothing happens to him until the player arrives, at which point he suddenly leaps into action.

"Trader Joe's Uncontrollable Hideous Gluttony"
Material component... A bucket of peanut butter filled pretzels.

Storm -- you are evil. The world needs more people like you.

"We use the Rob Methods."

A buddy of mine was infamous as a DM for coming up with incredibly convuluted methods of opening secret doors, and not allowing us to open it unless we specifically described the exact set of motions required. Eventually one guy (named Rob, natch) codified all the possible ways to manipulate a big old slab of rock, coming up with this MASSIVE list of ways to tilt, push, slide, tug, whatever, and any time after that when we encountered one of these secret doors, we'd just say, "We use the Rob methods."

When new players joined the campaign, they'd try the same trick, and the DM would smile, and say, "You don't know the Rob methods. So, what do you try first?"

"Yes. Yes it is. I have a cunning plan."
"I have a cunning yet subtle plan."
Our most experienced gamer says that and the plan usually works.
And if it doesn't, it isn't his fault.
I have yet to see him really botch a plan.

More later,
