I was just wondering if this has been released yet, and if so what do people think?

I looked at it, thought it was nice but not worth the $40. I am using Cy D20 which is a free Cyberpunk supplement which I think is solid.

For anyone interested I have it available at the link below:

I am not the author of the supplement, I am simply providing a place to download it and share it with everyone

I saw it, it was nice but not worth the $40 (in my opinion). I use Cy D20 which someone else created and works really nicely. Right now I have it posted on my website (its free) and you can find it
here

I bought it. i give it a B maybe a B+.

Cyberware is for the most part not horned into classes and is standalone equipment based, so its pretty useful as plug-in for other games and not locked into their game. Downside of cyberware is loss of persona, kind of charisma damage.

It has some good intro stuff about cyberpunk genre and i like a lot of the art and feel.

The downside I have with it is it has no setting and, of course, no start-up adventure. this pretty much limits it into being more or less a toolkit for use in a game and not a game in itself. Sure, that was by-design, but its a part ofd the design i did not prefer.

overall, worth the money.

I picked it up, and I definately like that book. I am going to start converting my Cyberpunk 2020 stuff over to it as soon as I can get the stuff out of storage.

IOW, it's a toolkit, much like Dungeons & Dragons Core Rulebooks.

Can you plug it in the setting, Digital Burn (by Living Room Games)?

Actually, the core rulebooks also contain a setting, the greyhawk one, with specific dieties and so much of the class stuff hardwired with setting info.

The OGL cyberpunk is much much more generic in nature.

I have no clue. When i considered buying Db a long time ago, the reviews i got from people who had were so bad i passed on it.

For cyberpunk settings i am familiar with...
You could take the RTAL cyberpunk 2020 setting and the Night City setting and use the OGL rules for them with ease IMO. However, it would probably work like a dream if you used the old, was it Atlas games, cyber-punk meets horror set of "adventures" they produced.

Hope that helps.

Ianus. Purple covers.

Atlas was more "standard" 2020

Hi guys,

OGL Cybernet is indeed intentded as a toolkit, an experiment inspired by something Ryan Dancey once told me. However, there are a number of 3rd party publishers who have taken advantage of the Cybernet licence, so I would not be surprised to see a setting released.

That said, I have been using C2020 scenarios downloaded of the web recently :)

It contains elements of a default setting, but it does not give an overview of the entire setting itself (e.g., regions, cultures, flora, fauna, etc.).

The OGL cyberpunk is much much more generic in nature.

Perhaps I should read the reviews, if the setting is bad or the mechanics is bad.
