Palladium has a great adventure from Beyond the Supernatural called Boxed Nightmares from way back when that is this basic thing. Basically, they have a prop of a tabloid newspaper and all the sotires have adventures written for them. it's very cool.

Pandemonium

A great game

Elvis working in a hamburger joint, Bigfoot in love, and all the PCs work for the ultimate tabloid

Fun, easy game -- with Past Life Experience!

I played a few sessions of the Men In Black RPG, and using the tabloids for adventures worked perfectly for that game. After all, they are the "hot sheets."

Look around for "PANDEMONIUM! Adventures in Tabloid World," an RPG that we distributed some years ago...

Played a game, loved it, but we never went back to play again. I'm sure that one game was more than worth the price of the book, and our GM was a great batboy fan (I mean, who isn't?). I think it was just the scenario distributed in the book, probably tweaked around. I can't remember what the premise was for the adventure, but I remember the characters were great.

The Weekly World News is the only tabloid I've ever bought. It really does have some wacked out ideas in it. I've used it for material about the Titanic (in a 2e game).

the best story I've ever seen in it was about the 50-foot Jesus. Although they had an "actual photo" of 50-foot Jesus standing on a street, none of the other people on the street seemed to notice him. They were all walking by like nothing was there..... I remeber standing in line to buy beer before a game session with one of the other players. We saw that and couldn't stop joking about it.

After Sept 11, they also ran a story and a "photo" of the devil's face in the smoke rising out of the Trade Towers. It was a well doctored photo, if memory serves me correct.

I usually check out the cover story when I'm standing in line at the grocery store.

I've also looked into writing for them, but didn't get far. I decided I could do better just writing for myself.
