Hi there
Old Kingdom Games (www.oldkingdomgames.com) has an immediate requirement for multiple short writing assignments for the d20 Future System.
The items are fairly be short - between 500 words and 1,500 words each. We're small (micro!) presss, so pay isn't great - we pay USD $0.01 per word, and pay by PayPal. If that's too low, thanks for taking a look - feel free to move along and not threadjack
The assignments break down as follows:
You have relative free reign in the details however for this series of assignment we're looking for NPC's (villains or not) suitable for use in an 'edge of space' environment. Scavangers, colonists, bounty hunters, an 'order' of mercenaries or space pirates - even an alien or two. Its up to you - they key requirement is depth of personality, not 'cool gun toting merc # 54' (unless you can convince me said merc is interesting, bizarre or unusual in some way).
The assignments come in two kinds:
Short: Single NPC using d20 Future rules, detailed description including stat black.
Long: Single NPC / Monster with Character Class entry to support it or Prestige Classs entry and/or equipment entry (up to you within word count).
Each assignment requires full stat blocks but the background / personality information should be the lions share of what you submit (60/40 or 70 / 30 is preferred).
Interested writers should contact chris AT oldkingdomgames.com with a very brief overview of the piece (single line description is fine), a quick list of credits (if any) and a timescale for completion if accepted. Payment will be upon submission and acceptance of your piece.
Art is already being handled elsewhere.
