OH! another possible idea of a great way to fight this Dragon.

Succeed in a Suggestion spell convincing this dragon that the best way to fight and kill you all is to swallow each of you whole.

Allow it to swallow you all.

Blow it up from the inside out.

It is racist to assume that a man is evil because of his race.

As far as his profession, there can be rogues who are good. (spies for some government for example.)
