Old dungeon(?) adventure

Hi all,
Back in the day (about '87?) we played an adventure which was for "0-level" characters. I _think_ it came from Dungeon Magazine. It involved getting shipwrecked and there were a few humanoids and an old (good) temple on the island.

It also involved getting a gift from a goddess of a few "change any roll into a 20" uses.

I searched the word document with Dungeon magazine blurbs, but nothing looked right.

Anyone have a clue?

It sounds like maybe "Isle of the Abbey" in Issue # 34 with perhaps a dash of "Fountain of Health" from Issue #39 thrown in.

I am pretty sure you want module N4: Treasure Hunt.

PCs are 0-Level residents of Korinn Archipelago, who get captured by pirate slavers. They get shipwrecked, flee their lone half-orc guard, sleep in the Goddess's Temple, then sneak into the Sea King's Manor to find the the ship in his burial mound so they can escape the island before the Goddess destroys it in 24 hours. In the meantime, they acquire 1st-level in a class...

Great module. I am pretty sure this is what you are remembering...

Yeah, it sounds more like Treasure Hunt, than Isle of the Abbey. I have both, but only ran Isle of the Abbey, and I recall that being for 1st - 3rd level.
