Old video game maps for current D&D campaigns

Okay, this may sound weird, but I really like the idea of using dungeons/areas from old computer and video games. It's not just that I hate making my own maps, but having the nostalgia bit will make things enjoyable for me, even if my players have no clue what's going on.

Does anyone know where I might fight downloadable/printable maps of the adventure areas from:

The Bards Tale (any/all of them)
The Sword of Blackpool
Dragon's Lair (yes, the animated one; why hasn't anyone remade that as a computer game, or even a DVD game a la Scourge of Worlds?)
Any of the King's Quest games

Descriptions/walkthroughs would be good, too, so I could try to make the specific rooms/locations at least somewhat resemble what they were in the original game.

And feel free to add your own dream requests to the list. :)

Actually, they did. Digital Leisure, Inc. released Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II: Timewarp, and Space Ace were all released a while back as DVD games. You could either watch them as a movie, or play them as a game using your remote. I own Timewarp, and I'm sorry to say that the quality of the video and the gameplay were both pretty bad.

Don't forget Legend of Zelda. I think you can find the maps online. I'm probably going to steal some of the maps from KoToR (The Korriban ones at least) for a game soon.

If you click on any of the games and look at the very bottom of the page for that game, there's a link that says MAPS. Maps to a ton of good old text adventures, like Zork. I've used a lot of this stuff in running games, sometimes without detection, but sometimes not, 'cause my players know I'll sneak in something Zorkian anytime I can get away with it. :D

Great idea, which I have toyed around with myself, although I have not really tried to implent it. I get too caught it up in trying to get everything for that particular vid game, that I lose sight of what I was trying to do.

Anyway, there is a sight called Home of the Underdogs, which specializes in hosting games that no longer have a "license" or whatever. Anyway, many of those games you mentioned have a section detailing walkthrus, maps, etc. Just take a look.

I read a post where someone planned to use a KoToR hint book (presumably with maps) for a Star Wars game. I think it's a capital idea. I'd love to use Dredd vs. Death for a Judge Dredd d20 game. If I could just find a hint/map book...

I used several dungeon maps from Wizardry years ago... well, 16 years ago... when running an uber-level 1e campaign.

I'm currently DM'ing the adventure based on Pool of Radiance (the original from the 80s), called Ruins of Adventure. The maps in there are probably taken 1:1 from the computer game. At least they look like that. :p

Bye
Thanee
