Omnium Finis Immenet

I know others have seen these advertisements and wondered - as I have - what the hell they were for.

Seems to be a new show on NBC called Revelations. I have found no official word, but this is what the New York Times is CURRENTLY reporting (they started by reporting that it was an ad for War of the Worlds). Man, advertising is getting weird nowadays. They have begun forcing you to research to even determine what the advertisement is for. I don't get it.

I thought these adverts were for the release of the Exorcist prequel on DVD...I've seen it multiple times and seem to remember it being the DVD advert each time. Maybe I'm wrong, though...

What the hell is "immenet"?

According to a student of Latin on a blog:

" 'Imminet' is the present tense third person form of the verb 'immineo', meaning 'to loom', 'to threaten', or 'to be imminent'. So, putting everything in context, the translation is 'The end of the world is imminent'. But then, you had probably already guessed that."
