On Being Disabled....

So...

If a character makes a move action, and incurs an attack of opportunity that reduces her to zero hit points...

Can the character still take a standard action in that round to cast a healing spell on herself? (Since the disabled condition did not come into effect until after the move action had already been taken).

And, if so, does the spell effectively heal one less point of damage (since the standard action while disabled causes one point of damage).

Any explanation will be appreciated. Thanks!

Not from literal RAW, no.

The wording is:

When your current hit points drop to exactly 0, you’re disabled. You can only take a single move or standard action each turn (but not both, nor can you take full-round actions). You can take move actions without further injuring yourself, but if you perform any standard action (or any other strenuous action) you take 1 point of damage after the completing the act.

The following questions might help explain it:

1) Is it the same turn that you drop to 0? yes

2) Are you disabled? yes

3) Have you taken a move or standard action this turn? yes

But the question that will really bake your noodle is, what happens when you cast cure minor wounds on yourself and you're disabled? :D

Not in 3.5.

There is only one answer to that question anymore.

A few more questions:

1. It is the surprise round, and you take a standard action to charge. During the movement portion of the charge, you provoke an AoO from an opponent you are moving past, and he drops you to exactly 0.

When you complete the charge, do you lose a hit point for strenuous activity?

2. You are disabled, and use a standard action to cast Cure Light Wounds, bringing your hit point total to (say) 8. Can you take a move action after your standard action is complete?

3. You are disabled, and you take a standard action to charge. During the movement portion of the charge, you come within 5 feet of the party cleric, triggering his readied action to cast Cure Light Wounds, bringing your hit point total to (say) 8. Can you take a move action after your standard action is complete?
