On expending one's Psionic Focus for a Concentration check

A psionic character can expend her psionic focus for a concentration check in which, instead of rolling d20, she simply adds 15 to her constitution skill modifier. This is like a take 10, but 15 instead of 10 is added.

My question: Can she expend her psionic focus in the above way if she is being threatened or distracted (in combat, for example)?

Glancing at the SRD, I'd say , Yes.

There's nothing that says it can't be used for that purpose, and it's a quite useful way to boost concentration checks. Everyone thinks about how it can be used to power psionic feats, but that's not the only thing it's good for.

Yes, so long as she doesn't lose her psionic focus for some other reason (out of pps, knocked unconscious, etc). Being threatened or distracted doesn't matter.

Being threatened does not prevent a pc from expending his/ her psionic focus. As far as I can remember (don't have my books on me), expending your psionic focus is a free action. You should have already made the concentration check to gain the psionic focus in the first place.
