Once Upon a Rheim (Erekose13 Judging)

ooc: Nodis and aiken have been making Gather Info checks, and that means hours of rumor milling. The current plan is to meet he others and think on something to force Garza (we're assuming he's the responsible for the caravan attacks) to do something.

However, of the two remaining thugs does manage to strike him, and he falls unconsious on the ground.

Oirhandir (With Lupic down, it's hard to heal him from horseback)
If they could drop mighty Lupic so easily, it would be foolish indeed to turn one's back on them while casting a healing spell on Lupic, Oirhandir reasoned. It seemed to him there was little to do but drive them away however he could. He drew forth his bow, nocked an arrow, and let loose an arrow that buried itself in one of Lupic's assailants. The elf made ready to retreat should the thugs try to chase him down.[sblock=OoC: ]Draw bow, move action, ride to 30' if not there already (move action), fire, standard action. Attack roll is d20+6+1 (precise shot) +1 (inspire courage) = 27. Damage is d8+1 (strength bonus) = 5. Will ride to a range of 40' if any movement is left (doubtful).[/sblock]

Kali returns fire at the closest thug.

"This isn't going well Oirhandir, but how can we retreat with Lupic down? Further, had you placed that dart there by your saddle? A good luck charm perhaps, if not, maybe we were marked for attack!" says Kali

"Shoot them until they run or fall, then we'll save him", the elf ordered grimly. This was not the way he wished to greet people! But these criminals left him little choice. At this point, he would gladly collect Lupic and his chimes and ride back to Rheim to lick his wounds, much as it pained him to admit it. But first there was the matter of Lupic's rescue...

"What dart by my..." Oirhandir's voice trailed off as he spied the "ornament". Where had that come from? He resolved to investigate it at the first opportunity, but that opportunity had yet to present itself.

Kali fires back at the thugs in the tree, and manages to strike one in the leg.
He doesn't seem too bothered by it though.

The two thugs fire at Kali's Cover (Oirhandir), one strikes him with a hard hit to the chest.

Oirhandir rides forward (He can't ride/shoot/ride), and fires, striking one of the thugs in the chest.

Lupic bleeds valiantly.

The two thugs rush to Oirhandir, swarming around him, one managing to nick Oirhandir.

[sblock=combat]Initiative:
Kali (6/6 HP)
2 Thugs (1 injured)
Oirhandir (2/19 HP)
Lupic (-3/27 HP - Bleeding)
More Thugs
Even More Thugs

Kali is up [/sblock]

Oirhandir gasped as the arrowhead bit into his flesh. Those archers were good, too good!

The bard had no choice but to retreat, the life force draining out of his wounds. He rode away from his attackers, fending them off as best he could.[sblock=OoC: ]Full round action to withdraw from the two closest to him. He'll chose his path carefully to avoid passing through a threatened square, provoking an AoO.[/sblock]

OOC: FYI, they missed a crit by 1 on both hits... They're actualy not that great, but they're more of them. Of course, if you hadn't split up... ;)
