"I wasn't expectin' ya quite so soon, nor here like this," Scarlet says. "We've not heard from Lord Valdor since we arived at the plantation, nor recieved any supplies or wagons to pick up goods. We came back to find out what's wrong. Ye're certaintly a pleasant suprise"
Oirhandir grinned. "As are you", he replied.

The elf's face fell. "Scarlet, something is afoot here. As we approached Rheim from Orussus, we found one of Valdor's caravans. It had been attacked by bandits, just out of sight from where we had made camp. They'd slaughtered all but one poor soul, whom we tended to and returned to Rheim. Valdor received us, and told us there had been several attacks on his caravans, and that though he dreaded it, if they didn't stop he might be forced to sell you and your kin. I couldn't abide that, so I determined to seek out the culprits as soon as I had visited you at the plantation.

But they found me first. Without my knowledge, someone fixed a bright red dart to my saddle. When these bandits saw the feathers of the dart, they took that as the signal to attack Lupic, Kali, and myself. We were fortunate that you and Elise happened upon us, we might have succumbed to them had you not."

XPAWARDS!
Oirhandir - 2350
OoC: Xp added to character sheet...no level up for Oirhandir this time.

Oh, and sorry that I've been off for so long. I had an interesting week last week, but I should be able to check in here at least 3-5 times a week now.

"Is this your friend?"
Oirhandir answered that indeed, this was Lupic, and explained that he'd used up the last of his healing magic for the day as she tended to the half-orc's wounds. He felt that between narrowly surviving the attack from the strange creature that he encountered on the road to Rheim and having Scarlet and Elise ride up just as he was about to fall to the thugs that he'd used up his allotment of good luck for a whole year.

OOC: Ok, I think I need to make a minor revision... I'm assuming that Oirhandir and Co would be heading back to Rheim, which means that Nodis and Aiken are more likely to run into them either at the scene, or before they get there.
OoC: Oirhandir's interests would be in finding a place for Lupic to rest. He'd defer to Scarlet's local knowlege to assess whether that would best be done at Valdor's estate or at the plantation.

I guess that means we're heading back to Rheim.

Er, one last thing. Oirhandir would like to collect his chimes (and anything else he might have dropped) and locate that red dart (if it had fallen off his saddle) before heading back.

"You didn't say that!" exclaims Nodis. "So one of Valdor's servants is a spy?"

Nodis turns in his saddle very excited. "He may not know we know, so we may use the classic trick of... uh... you know, the one where you... ehhh... I'm sure there are a lot of classic tricks, but I don't know any of them."

"Oh! like pretending that we have something very interesting and use it as a trap. Or since we can assume Garza (I'm sure it's him) will know what we're going to do, we can agree with Valdor to feing selling Scarlet to you, and count that Garza will know. He'll attack us again, and this time we'll be prepared! Gods, I can't wait!"

OOC: I can out interesting you most likely :p No biggie.

You can collect your belongings easily, barring anything that was on Lupic's horse, which is gone.

OOC: Anyone go up a level? I know at least 2 of you did.
