While using a staff as an implement requires only one hand, you might want to pick up Hafted Defense feat (+1 shield bonus to AC/Reflex) which requires you to hold a staff in both hands. Also (depending on how much you might want to invest in defenses) Staff Fighting feat is good and it also requires staff to be wielded two-handed.
