One RPG gift on your list. Just one.

Let's see, at 12 troy ounces per troy pound that comes out to 72 oz. At about $800.00 U.S. per oz that comes out to $57,200 dollars just for the gold. The diamonds and rubies might double that. All in all, you'd be better off selling it as an objet de art.

What's your appraise skill rating? Haggle skill?

The greatest gaming gift I could get this year would be to find five other people in my town, who have the time and are as eager as I am to play all the obscure, old games I've got and am dying to play.

If I got that, then next Christmas, I'd ask to have one extra day added to my week. A day just for reading, writing, and designing game stuff to play with my new group. A day without interruption from - or obligations to - work, family, friends, other hobbies and activities. One day a week to dedicate to gaming work.

Is that asking too much? :p

The complete Talisman 3rd Edition.

If it has to be an actual RPG product, D20 Future, so I can get some good Starship rules for my homebrew Trek D20 I'm working on for my group.

Umm gold is a little over $400 an oz (closed at $436.65 today)...and that is the highest it's been in the past 15 years.

Gold only topped $800/oz during a huge speculation boom in 1980.

Still, 72 oz of the stuff represents a huge chunk of change. :)

At the same time, c$400.00 a troy ounce means selling it as an art object is an even better idea.

The RPG book I want is Unearthed Arcana, I keep hearing how great it is and it has some interesting rules I really want to check out.

I strongly urge you not to get this...ever.

Definitely. As with most things it is hard to actually get someone to pay you the "book" value of gold.
