Online Novels?

Having read the excellent Monster Island series (and the two other books on the same site by the same author) I'm looking for recommendations for other online (or downloadable in HTML or plaintext) books.

Any suggestions?

(For those into classic SciFi, Project Gutenburg just released Triplanetary)

Try the Bane Free Library.

Or go down to your local bookstore and swipe a copy of the anthology CDs from the back of a copy of At All Costs or Hell Hath No Fury. There have been about seven of them but they only ship with first printing run hardcovers and the two I listed are the only ones in the stores right now.

Cory Doctorow puts all of his novels online for free - I believe his website at http://www.craphound.com/ has everything he's written.

Project Gutenberg has a lot of free fiction online. One of my personal likes is H. Beam Piper, and just about everything written by him is online under http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/p#a8301.

It's fanfiction, or started like that, but the bizarre and playful mess that is Eyrie Productions (http://www.eyrie.net/) has been worked on for so long that the authors have gotten quite good at it. The early stuff is fun and enthisastic, but has some warts, but the later stuff (ten to fifteen years or so?) is good and inspirational for rpging.

Project Gutenberg has also made some of Edgar Rice Burroughs' fiction available for free. Right now I'm re-reading "The Princess of Mars."

Free Online Novels

I'm collecting free online novels I come across on my web site (see signature) and also one's in progress.

As an author myself, I'm continually amazed at the talent around that is available for free (and not a little daunted)
