But yeah, it isn't a core part of the game.
 

The player in me thinks flanking = advantage would be killer.

I don't think you should incorporate it, though. Advantage and disadvantage are make-or-break aspects of this edition. I won't go so far as to label them overpowered, but they're certainly very powerful and I think I'd get bored if all I had to do to gain advantage was flank with an ally. I like the way I've been on the edge of my seat for this combat.
 

I think the edge of the seat thing has more to do with the fact it's a really hard fight to pick right off, but it is a sandbox. You can easily get in over your heads.
 

Well I am continuing to run with the rules as I've been playing them for now here. Once we get to a more static scene I'll raise the question again.
 



Damien's darkness spell was cast on his dagger. I forgot about that and threw it at Ushnora. When she changed shape, she apparently sucked it up into her body.
