Hrm... I had been playing that flanking = advantage. Also higher ground = advantage. I never bothered to check.

I mean, ultimately, "[t]he DM can also decide that circumstances influence a roll in one direction or the other and grant advantage or impose disadvantage as a result."

The player in me thinks flanking = advantage would be killer.
I don't think you should incorporate it, though. Advantage and disadvantage are make-or-break aspects of this edition. I won't go so far as to label them overpowered, but they're certainly very powerful and I think I'd get bored if all I had to do to gain advantage was flank with an ally. I like the way I've been on the edge of my seat for this combat.

I think the edge of the seat thing has more to do with the fact it's a really hard fight to pick right off, but it is a sandbox. You can easily get in over your heads.

Well I am continuing to run with the rules as I've been playing them for now here. Once we get to a more static scene I'll raise the question again.

No flanking, and I also think it would be overpowered and remove part of the rogue's benefit. So if Dent doesn't move, Thaliss will stay at his initial choice of T9.

Damien's darkness spell was cast on his dagger. I forgot about that and threw it at Ushnora. When she changed shape, she apparently sucked it up into her body.
