Well, I'm back. The trip was OK, considering the context of the visit (unveiling of a tombstone). I was able to snag a quick look at the posts over the weekend (hotel computer), but I didn't have enough time to post. Sorry, I'll take care of that immediately!

Anyway, good to see that the ice between characters is broken and combat can ensue. But how are you going to handle actual combat? I've seen a variety of methods for handling it, including but not limited to a combat thread in OOC (which is then stylized and put into the IC thread), requesting rolls in the IC thread using parentheses (to signify OOC text), and various other methods. I anticipate charging into combat soon, so I'd just like to know your particular method.

Oh, and there's no need to be concerned about me editing a few of my past posts. I just noticed that I put my signature in there, something that I try to avoid in threads like this one. But I truly do love OOTS!

Well, um, it's been a few days... should one of you guys post? Just hoping that this game hasn't ground to a halt, that's all. Is there an issue with my recent post, or has the opportunity just not come around yet? Blackroot, I would imagine that post is to you, since Elvar is still out on patrol.

Ugh, my internet is a despicable beast. Where's a pair of Shocking Vorpal Wirecutters when you need them? Yes, it's been messed up and barely functioning for a bit, but it's fine now, and we're thinking about making a switch to something better. Regardless, I'll have a post up soon.

In addendum to this, perhaps we should popcorn posts around (in the OOC thread, say "post to you, _______!") so as to avoid wondering if you should post next or wait. I'll start making notes in various places about who a response would be most appropriate from (for example, if Elvar is supporting me in melee, he should probably go next, and if I'm chatting with Derin, he should post next). Either that or a definite posting order, since I've been sensing a little confusion here, resulting in some pretty huge delays.

And finally, it would seem that we're about to jump into combat. How do you want to handle this? As requested in an above post, is there any chance you could let me know your particular method of running combat?

Interesting thoughts. We could give that a try.

Combat
I will handle the combat rolls and so on. Feel free to post what ever you want to remind me of modifiers and so on. If you think I have forgotten something let me know. I will roll for initiative and list the combat order and most likely say who is next. Feel free to post your intentions for the round and I will take it from there. You may amend them when you turn comes as combat conditions change.

Well, sorry it took so long to post! My exams are over and dead, and I'm more or less free for the summer. Except for about two weeks after school lets out, that is. I will be residing in Mexico for the time, which means my ability to post depends on if the internet at my place of residence is functioning. If it is, I can post regularly. If it is not, I will only be able to post once every several days. I hope that this will not inconvenience anybody in any way.

Post is to whoever wants to charge in first... which is probably you, Elvar. And I take it that it was OK for me to mention that they are Lemures, correct? Knowledge is best shared, after all.
