OOC Thread for Scotley's Tomb of Horror's 3.5

There has been a question raised about how many spells Logan has remaining. Now that I've had a chance to think more on the matter, I'm pretty sure that we're still in the same Game Day in which we sprung the deadly trap and Logan had to use all those spells to get everybody back into adventuring shape again. But, of course, Scotley has the final say on the matter, so, please refresh our memories, kind, sweet Mr. DM?

Always glad to be of service per post 833 you rested the night without incident, so should have the full complement of spells less the light cantrip Logan tossed into the green face.

Logan's spells

Well, he cast Divine Favor (post 886), Light on the black sphere (post 871), and that appears to be all that he has used this day.

Logan's sheet is now up-to-date again, and he's "Divine Favored" up and ready to bash a villain!

Don't worry Leif, as the parties new bard Ballista has no problem taking the reigns of leadership and directing the traffic jam of bodies we have in that tiny hallway.

Regardless of 4e mysteriously (to me) calling clerics "leaders," Logan has absolutely no problem with Ballsta "leading" any who will follow her, including, possibly, Logan himself. As far as the traffic jam goes, do what you want, but I would recommend against getting between Logan and the..the..the.. undead thing.

OOC: The problem is not so much that I couldn't find some way to view the file, if I wanted to try, but that if I did download or reinstall something to do so, my computer would run even worse than it does now, as it's horribly low on memory, and it's old and buggy. I had to delete MS Office stuff just to clear away a bit of memory before, and I can't afford to do anything about it right now. I can barely get this thing to work right half the time. :(
Been there, done that. It's rough. Hang in there, dude!

Arkhandus, just how old is your computer and what os are you using? I am only curious as I use what my friends call a dinosaur, my self.

That is a more challenging problem. How was the jpeg? I'll be happy to continue to provide crucial maps in that format if it works for you. If you do want to pursue a viewer, the MS Excel viewer weighs in at just under 10 megabytes.

Excel viewer

You might be able to free up that much space with one of my favorite toys.

Crap Cleaner

The download is less than 2.5 megabytes and it will almost certainly free up at least a hundred megabytes of hard drive space for you.

Anyway, even if you don't want to mess with the viewer I highly recommend ccleaner to you. It will free up some space and the included registry cleaner it has may reduce some of your other bugs. I'm more than happy to continue with the jpegs or something else if they don't work for you.

I have more than a little experience tuning up old windows machines. If you'd like some advice feel free to drop me a line (email available in my profile) and I'll recommend some free tools to you.

A good way to optimize your system is go into your Cprompt and do an msconfig to see how many program you have running at once. It helped my 6 year old puter immensely once I shut down all the unnesessary crap that was running in the background.

Excellent advice Vertexx69. If the problem is memory rather than storage you should definitely try reducing the amount of stuff running in the background. Spybot Search and Destroy has an excellent tool for doing this which can be found when running in advanced mode. It will tell you which things are safe to turn off and which ones are malware. This is only one small part of the much more powerful program.

If you are a bit more confident tinkering under the hood check out this article and download from Microsoft's Technet.
