Off the top of my head, DeToqueville (or however his name was spelled), perhaps?

Almost !!

Tocqueville : "HOW THE AMERICANS COMBAT INDIVIDUALISM BY THE PRINCIPLE OF SELF-INTEREST RIGHTLY UNDERSTOOD "

For your information, you must say either Tocqueville or Alexis de Tocqueville. The nobiliary particle is not a part of the name, you only use it when the last name is preceded by the first name, a title or a denomination => Comte de Tocqueville, Monsieur de Tocqueville. ;)

Of course! Tocqueville would have been the descriptive part of a title! That's what I get for posting in the middle of the night.

Interesting. Sounds like Tarquin would have no qualms against aiding them against Xykon if he felt the lich was a thread to his own plans.

Given Xykon's master plan is to unleash and control a God-killing abomination to conquer the world and rule it as an unstoppable Evil Overlord. . .I think Tarquin would see that as a problem with his rulership of much of one of the two continents on the planet.

Never mind that Redcloak wants to use the abomination to unmake all of creation in the hopes that the world will be created will be more favorable to Goblins.

Yeah, if Tarquin knew what Elan was up to, he'd help as much as he could, just as soon as he could get the OotS to accept his help.

He's Evil, but not part of Team Evil.
