I laughed out loud, at a couple of points/panels. I guess I'm easily amused.

It falls uder personal opinion. I like the strips, but can see that some things aren't other's cup of tea. I don't mind Cryptohaley, though I did hope it'd get resolved in the New Year's strips, for example.

I know this is a crazy thought, but maybe the grumps could just stop reading the strip, if they're not enjoying it. I don't like /GU any more, but I don't read it every time there's a new one, just to confirm it to myself and anyone discussing it.

I think it's more people used to love the comic, and they're hoping it'll go back to the dungeon crawl material they loved. So they keep checking. And get disapointed.

That and the fact every strip is greeted with a thread of how great it is. Sometimes, you just have to post to figure out why people liked it. (Not this strip, it had a lot of little funnies, just no big punchline.)

Besides, if you post criticisms on the OotS forum you'll just get in trouble.
