Sorry, but no, you were wrong. :p

Roy didn't say "stop the force of Evil from opening the gates that will let an alien entity of malevolence unmake the world and everything, good or bad, that comprise it", which could lead Nale to think "well, I don't want this world destroyed".

Roy said "stop the force of Evil from getting their hands on the secret power to bring about the apocalypse." So, Nale heard about the possibility to get one's hands on a secret power, letting him think it can be controled and stuff, so he won't want to stop it but to take it for himself.

Thats the way I read it too...

IMNSHO, I believe that Nale has just realized that he is nothing more than a sidequest and it is a blow to his e(vil)go. I don't believe he is so worried about the apocolypse.

While it may come down to either Mouseferatu's or Gez's theories, I expect this to be the immediate reaction - it needs at least a one-liner but even a whole strip (with maybe a one-liner echo over the next few strips).

I'm with Mouse on this one.

Oh, and we haven't seen hide nor feather of the familiar for awhile, I think it'll pop out of nowhere and ruin some plan of Nale's. He'll have a fit about not even knowing there was a familiar.

i think that Nale needs to start paying attention. First he calls Belkar, Belkon and now he calls Roy, Ray. What's up with that? Not exactly the evil mastermind there now is he?
Hmno, that really looks like a "Roy" to me. And I think our resident undead rodent is right about Nale. ;)

Roy: Well, I don't know about anyone else, but this was an afternoon well spent in my book.

Belkar: You spent half the time getting smacked around by a girl.

Classic! :D

My thoughts exactly.

That's what I was thinking too.

Belkar's a halfling. You'd think he would understand what constitutes "the good life." ;)

First time I looked I thought it said Ray, then I looked closer and realised that my eyes aren't good enough to tell.
