I noticed that too!

Are we 100% sure Haley is human?

I'm very, very curious if...

Haley's a half-celestial. That would SO go with the whole evil opposites thing with the Linear Guild. It'd also explain the diversity of apperance of those different personaility aspects, assuming that she's actually LOOKED like that at some point or another... not to mention the "secret" that even V doesn't know.

Let's just say that the Linear Guild & who they're supposed to be opposite may be a clue as to the nature of the members of the Order of the Stick themselves.

No he doesn't. He thought she was "oddly quiet" when he noticed her smiling at him (and hating the "random woman" with him). He shushed her so fast he didn't figure out she couldn't say anything meaningful.

admittedly I doubt Haley talking will matter for Nale since he usually does all the talking.

Another theory about Haley's racial makeup could come from taking her comment in the third panel of this cartoon literally.
One of those non-scaley, no claws, no bite attack, completely human looking half dragons. :p

She might have some celestial heritage, but she doesn't seem half-celestial. No wings, no spell-likes, she's around the same level as everyone else which suggests no LA. We've seen her dad, who looks perfectly human, but have we seen her mother?

There's also a bit of decoded dialogue where she starts to tell Elan something along the lines of "I'm not exactly what you'd call..." but she didn't finish.

Perhaps the next word was "human."

Silly Nale. Does he want to do her, kill her, or both?

He obviously (IMO) wants to do her. Last strip he was asking Sabine what he was supposed to do tonight while she was gone, and immediately after that he goes to see Haley. We all know what he does with Sabine at night.

IMHO, the next word would have been...

"...single."

... and that's quite a secret for a girl in her position.

Yep, seconded. Was my opinion then, still is now. They run around with an elf and a dwarf, encounter all sorts of critters. Being non-human just doesn't strike me as that big an obstacle given their circumstances.
