Thog is definitely my favourite character now.

Whenever I read Thog's lines, my brain gives Thog a voice like Eduardo's from "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends"! It makes him even funnier!

I never thought of him that way, but I will now.

His fighting abilities just shot up significantly.

You're thinking longswords. Rapiers, like scimitars and falchions, are the crit kings with an 18-20 range. Keen makes it a critical threat on a 15-20. Add in a Cha bonus to damage, and probably +1 BAB from a full BAB PrC, and yeah Elan's now a serious threat.
