Security. They may have opted to leave Redcloak's somewhere where it would be safe for 1d10 days, as it is also Xykon's phylactery.
Interesting--I thought that Roy's crown-necklace was the phylactery, although I'm not sure why I thought that.

They're all decoys. Even Redcloak. Compare to OotS 300. Why would Redcloak have a different pendant?

Okay, Redcloak has had a different pendant. The Zykons have to all be decoys.

Indeed, he has: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0117.html ;)

Unless the little phylactery gem in the middle glows a different color when Xykon wears it.

I'd put money on the plan that right now, all the Xykons are decoys, one Xykon is Redcloak, and Redcloak is Xykon. Although...

The "Interesting... Greenhilt is here with his order of the stick..." "Who?" exchange would tend to favor Redcloak not being Xykon, and the Xykon with Redcloak not being Redcloak, since Xykon can never seem to remember Roy's name.

Hmmm....

Also the orange necklace and the purple one have the same shape - rounded, whereas the green one is straight. Does that have any significance?

I agree with that. Also the part about Redcloak saying this one is for Mom also favors Redcloak being Redcloak.

How so? What do we really know about Redcloak's mom? Or anyone else's mom, for that matter?
